- Topics: how to organize an elite breeding program; what is my target market, what breeding strategies shall I use, what logistical constraints are important, when to select on which trait, use of molecular markers, indirect selection methods and index selection; each topic is illustrated at the elite durum breeding program of the State Plant Breeding Institute

- Topics: Evolution of wheat, its ancestors and relatives of bread wheat like Einkorn, Emmer, durum, and Spelt were shown in the field; large wheat line collections were demonstrated as well as the realization of breeding concepts based on genetic resources discussed and demonstrated in order to highlight their specialties
